Cademuir Hill Fort and the Tweed River Walk near Peebles, Scotland

31 Jan

Our host, son Tristan, led this 13k circle walk from Peebles around the snow coated hills of Caidmuir past iron age fort mounds on the John Buchan Way, then along the Tweed Way beside the Tweed River which flooded earlier this month. Jenny had to work sadly.

Our only company were sheep, a few horses in winter coats and the occasional dog walker. Boggy going in several places but crunching and squeaking through snow on the hills was wonderful and made us wish we’d had our skis or at least a sled.

Some photos were taken by Tristan on his LG mobile.

How lovely to hear from you Judith and Larry!

I trust you are both well and have defrosted after your huge NYC freeze that we saw in the media. Must have been intense.

Back to Jerez soon. I’ll say hello to Monika for you.
